Old man yells at cloud
by chuckofish
It is Friday yet again and isn’t that wonderful? Our beautiful fall weather continues as the leaves begin to turn. It was 81 degrees yesterday! But it will probably rain this weekend. C’est la vie–and par for the course with Halloween in flyover country.
The twins will be in Texas this weekend for the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk with their parents and other grandparents. Closer to home, both prairie girls will be dressing up as Madeleine…
But daughter #1 and Mr. Smith are coming over to my house for Halloween. We’ll turn off the lights and watch The Birds (1963). No one ever trick-or-treats in my cul de sac anyway.
Here’s another rant about hating your neighbor’s Halloween decorations. I certainly concur.

And here’s another good one from Carl Trueman: “Europe may—or may not—survive. But make no mistake, the same spirit that animates the current crisis moves only just below the surface in the United States. This is not a time for congratulating ourselves on not being French or Italian but rather for calling out to God to be merciful to us who are also sinners.”
Happy Reformation Day on Saturday! Celebrate responsibly.

Oh man, I do love that Simpsons reference 🙂
