The flirt of the groundlark’s wing from the stubbles

by chuckofish

Yesterday I turned everything in for the fall issue of the Kirkwood Historical Review. Then I brought in all my plants from the Florida room as the temperatures have dropped, making that necessary. Now begins the arduous task of finding sunny spots in my house for them to spend the winter. Phew.

This is a good article about life slipping through our fingers, but not despairing about it. We were just talking about that in my new Bible study group!

And here’s a good poem:

John Clare, 1793-1864, was known as the “peasant poet”. He “developed a very distinctive voice, an unmistakable intensity and vibrance, such as the later pictures of Van Gogh” possessed (Summerfield, Geoffrey, ed. (1990). Selected Poems).

Have a good day!
