It’s Friday–can you believe it?
by chuckofish
It’s Friday again! October is passing in the blink of an eye. Daughter #1 drove up to visit the prairie fam yesterday…
They’re having super fun…
But don’t worry about me–I’m keeping busy! The boy is coming over for lunch today and I have the Century House Tour this weekend where I am volunteering.
In the meantime, this article compares the changes that come with fall with another kind of change, which I have noted often. “Over the past few years, this horror décor has expanded in both scope and size. One lawn in my neighborhood features cardboard gravestones with epitaphs hand-drawn by a six-year-old; another displays a full-sized Mr. Bones year-round (sporting green, gold, and purple beads for Mardi Gras), who is now joined by dozens of other skeletons around the neighborhood. Some of these streets now have more décor for Halloween than they do for Christmas. What does this signify, if anything?”
And I thought this video about what was going on in the world in 1517 (The Year Luther Posted the 95 Theses) was very interesting! Reformation Day is fast approaching, you know!
