Kentucky poet, novelist and essayist Wendell Berry died on Monday. He was 92.
He was right about a lot of things and wrong about others (as are we all) but I always liked him.
I like his poetry and I like his novels.

I am re-reading Hannah Coulter; it is pretty great.

I’ve never read any of his work. I’ll have to do so. Should I start with Hannah Coulter?
There are 9 books in the Port William series, and I have not read them all. It is fine to start with Hannah Coulter. I have read Jayber Crow too. Excellent.
I saw a lot of poem reposts online and figured he had died — but I am totally unfamiliar with his work! I’ll have to remedy that…
