“Hey, pilgrim!”*
by chuckofish

The wee babes had fun at their birthday party this year. Last year’s party was a bit of a disaster with multiple meltdowns, but there were fewer people and they are a year older. They enjoyed their pizza and cake.

They will appreciate the handmade Christmas ornaments daughter #1 made them in years to come.
They got presents
including some books, which they like a lot.
Meanwhile the Christmas decorations are going up everywhere around here. The Kirkwood Holiday Walk was held last Saturday! Daughter #1 and I took a walk around the neighborhood and saw a few Christmas trees lighted up in living rooms! Please. Let’s get through Thanksgiving first.
In church we prayed for the Pilgrims to the Holy Land, of which I am one…
O God, our heavenly Father, whose glory fills the whole creation, and whose presence we find wherever we go: Preserve these pilgrims who will travel to the Holy Land; surround them with your loving care; protect them from every danger; and bring them in safety to their journey’s end; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (BCP)
We are leaving on Saturday! It’s going to be a busy week.

I LOVE the ornaments Mary made and I can’t believe the kiddies are (almost) 2!
They are getting so big!
What a fun weekend!
Did Lauren make the cake and decorations? Fusion Toy Story is pretty special. Love those sweet babes and always glad to see them appreciating books!!
Lauren did not make the cake (someone’s side-hustle) or the decorations (Etsy). The cookies were yummy. The babes really do like books and do the pretend-reading aloud thing. Can’t wait to watch Veggie Tales with them!
