Well, that baby certainly doesn’t look or act traumatized, but it may be as dumb as its parents. In fact, it looks pretty oblivious. In a way, though, It probably helped that the parents were laughing and not freaking out (although from an adult point of view that was weird — babies take a cue from the parents).
You may wonder why I posted this at all. I thought it was scary and that it’s a good reminder that these animals are serious predators and not cute, cuddly pets. The parents and others who laughed and said “hi kitty kitty” are complete idiots and should obviously never set foot outside a city. One pities the child.
Why do people find that humorous? I think it is really scary and traumatizing.
Yeah, it’s kind of worrying that the kid’s Mom would just sit there and watch. Glass or no glass, it’s still a lion trying to eat her son.
And I’m sorry, but even as a baby wouldn’t you be traumatized if you turned around and saw a lion with gaping jaw trying to get you?! Zut alors.
I agree. My instinct is to grab the kid instantly. Obviously the baby was too young to be traumatized, but still…what’s with the giggly parents?
I’m not so sure it is “obvious” that the baby is too young to be traumatized. Beg. to. differ.

I am still traumatized by reading “Matterhorn” and the tiger episode.
Did I not have a staring contest with a lion when I was little?
It was an orangutan as I recall.
And also a crocodile. Right?
My takeaway from this video is a nice reminder that there are a lot of stupid people in the world. Because OMG.
