How politically incorrect is this photo? What would Betty Friedan (who spoke at one dual personality’s graduation) think? Well, this dual personality never ironed her husband’s shirts, but then, neither did her mother. But circa 1961, she enjoyed ironing handkerchiefs and doll paraphernalia.
It may be politically incorrect, but it’s not embarrassing. It’s adorable! I can remember liking to iron easy things like hankies — I’m still like that. I don’t do trousers, but I like table cloths and napkins.
It’s one of those “chores” that can be very restful. And you feel like you’ve accomplished something when you’re finished!
Nice haircut. You look like you’re taking that ironing so seriously!!
I was a very serious child. My mother had to stage pillow fights to get me to laugh. She worried about me. Obviously she went too far and I got hooked on silly.
HAHA! I remember I went through an ironing phase, too, and you used to let me iron the dining room napkins…
Precious! And Nigel and Errol are in such a place of honor perched atop the TV haha.
I knew you would notice them!
