On Monday “the pod” was delivered and the packing began in earnest.
The pod was picked up on Tuesday. Bright and (very) early this morning the final packing was done.
The boy got situated riding shotgun.
And the driver took her place.
And off they went down the trail.

My dual personality wrote about our brother the other day, posting some pictures from her graduation weekend back in 1981(!). Here is another photo of the three of us just before we were about to leave for Bradley International Field in Hartford in our brother’s blue station wagon (the “Blue Goose”). We look a little worse for wear, don’t you think? We’d probably been up late celebrating. We were some wild and crazy guys back then.
Siblings are one of our greatest gifts. Take a moment to be thankful for yours if you are lucky enough to have one or two. As the Rt. Rev. Desmond Tutu said, “You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them.”
