The way a crow Shook down on me The dust of snow From a hemlock tree Has given my heart A change of mood And saved some part Of a day I had rued.
The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree
Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.
(Robert Frost)
(All paintings above by Andrew Wyeth and one bonus piece by N.C. Wyeth below)
Beautiful paintings! Around here February looks just like that — but maybe not quite so pretty.
I’m sure it is lovely–especially if you can overlook the ice dams etc.!
I love snowy landscapes almost as much as seascapes! The Wyeths are so great. I just read Whittier’s “Snow-Bound: A Winter Idyl” yesterday and had planned a similar post for tomorrow (if it snows here today) — you beat me to it!
Well, go ahead and post it! I would like to read Whittier’s poem again. It’s been a long time!
Very nice!
Ooooo! I’ve always loved N.C. Wyeth for his illustrations but this landscape is lovely too!
It is an illustration for “Men of Concord”–I like it too.
Nice pics…we’re getting a dose of that white stuff in Georgia today. No need to shovel though as it should be gone in a couple days!
