Deck the halls

This dualpersonality has been decorating, too. Marjorie and the little Dutch girl always sit in the chair. Marjorie was my mother’s doll, and although she has seen better days, I think she seems cheered up by the festive company she is keeping. The wonderfully late 1950s Santa I received on my first or second birthday. I couldn’t say Santa Clause so I called him Kee-Kaw and the name stuck. He’s a favorite of ours. One of my aunts made the doll with the wild red hair and (if I remember correctly) the primitive angel on Marjorie’s lap. Unfortunately, I can no longer remember which Aunt was responsible. Can anyone help? The two snowmen are new and store-bought but I like their expressions.
These dolls occupy an 18th century Windsor chair from the Sargent side of my family. It sits in a corner of my living room under a couple of etchings and next to the big bookcase that my mother bought and stained many, many years ago.

You guys really are dual personalities. It took me so long to decide whether this was our house or not.
Hello?! Really? Haha!
We have been green plants in big blue & white planters! We have windsor chairs! Those bookshelves look very familiar! So do all of the things on the shelves! Several of the dolls are ALSO at our house!!!! IT’S NOT THAT CRAZY!!
Like I said, dual personalities, dual houses.
We do NOT have a Kee-Kaw!
admit you’re jealous of Kee-Kaw and always were!
I had forgotten about KeeKaw, but I remembered his name right away! The red frizzy-haired was made by Aunt Susanne. Mary and Susie each have one. I’m not sure about the other angel–maybe I gave it to you, in which case I bought it. I don’t have one like it. I gave you the snowman on the left. Your house is so pretty and festive!
Yes, I remembered that you gave me the snowman (I should have said so) and I think maybe you did give me the angel, too. You’re such a good sis!
P.S. Where was that bookcase in our house?
It was in the TV room, remember?
I totally don’t.
Straight ahead against the wall opposite the door. We took down my zoo to make room for it.
Love pictures of our houses. They always make me happy. Totally dig the pipers on top of the bookshelves. And correct me if I’m wrong, Mom, but don’t we have identical bookends? The reading monks?
We do, but mine are from eBay! Hers are from our parent’s house. I also have a pair in my work office.
That’s because I gave you what you already had. I can’t remember anything! This year’s Christmas gift could also be a duplicate. Ye goatherd gods!
