No matter what we do, we cannot seem to improve the relationship. They have not done anything to cause it. God simply uses them to reflect back to us what our problem is. Gift or curse, my nemesis definitely has acted so to justify my frailty and weakness of spirit – acts both of omission and commission, against me and mine. There may be many things in him I should see in me, but the enmity is well and truly earned. (I know, exactly what I should turn over to His care).
